Bethany Dufour

Bethany is a leadership and executive coach, facilitator, entrepreneur, and lover of people. She has spent her career in learning and development, supporting people and organizations on their paths to greatness.

In 2013, Bethany left a job she loved to follow her vision, cultivating an epic Pause in her life. During this Pause, she spent time at home (her first weeks not traveling for work since 2006!), learned how to cook (still not her favorite), took up running (briefly), practiced yoga (ongoing), joined womens’ groups in her community, and took on her first few independent coaching clients. By the close of 2013, Bethany founded leadership development practice, Maley Group.

Maley Group exists to bring simplicity to leadership; stewarding clients through personal and professional growth with a blend of coaching, workshops, and retreats. Bethany’s approach is grounded in deep listening, intuitive challenging, and the ability to see to the heart of an issue. She has worked with clients across a broad range of industries including consulting, non-profits, education, technology, startups, manufacturing, engineering, legal, and healthcare. Her clients have accomplished incredible feats such as pursuing new career paths, saying yes to executive roles, choosing and cultivating their ideal balances of mother/fatherhood and work, starting their own entrepreneurial ventures, and making all kinds of moves in line with their values, and in pursuit of lives they love.

In addition to her work at Maley Group, Bethany is Co-Founder and Vice President, Education of The Next Play, an organization that empowers women athletes to make successful transitions from their athletic careers into lives and professional careers they love. The Next Play believes that the world needs more women leaders, and is motivated to action by the statistic that while only about 15% of C-suite positions are held by women, an impressive 96% of those women have played a sport.

Bethany loves spending time with her family, is passionate about nature, and loves to learn and travel. She’s been a German exchange student, the keynote speaker at her college graduation, an actress in several plays, and can turn a mean cartwheel. She is married to her loving and patient partner, Don, and together with their twin toddlers, they live and play in the forests of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Bethany is a graduate of Georgetown University’s International Coach Federation (ICF)-Accredited Leadership Coaching Program and holds her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Credential. She is certified in the comprehensive 360 tool The Leadership Circle Profile, and earned her BS in Business Management from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
