After an 18-year career at e-commerce giant Amazon as vice president of consumer electronics, global hardlines private brands and retail leadership development teams, Laura Orvidas has stepped into a new role as the CEO of onX. The  Montana-based company is the industry leader in digital mapping; creating app and GPS chip-based products designed to help hunters and outdoor adventurers navigate terrain and government / private land boundaries.

Founded in 2009, onX has grown rapidly from a one-person start-up to a staff of more than 100 people. The company’s maps encompass 985 million acres of public land and more than 121 million private properties. Hunters and outdoorsmen are able to use their mobile phones as a GPS, tracking their movements, delving through different topographic maps with unique applications for hunting, fishing, hiking and more.

Laura resides in Bozeman, Montana, with her husband, two children, dog and four horses. She enjoys spending time hiking, biking and skiing under the legendary Montana “Big Sky”.
