Ty Miranda is the Senior Strategist of Special Projects at the ACLU, leading large and complex projects that cut across multiple issues areas at the ACLU. 

Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, Ty has experience in political campaigns, strategy, operations development, management, and youth engagement. She previously was a Senior Manager at williamsworks, a social impact consulting firm, partnering with clients on policy, politics, and philanthropy strategy & engagement. Ty also worked on several coalition-based and issue campaigns focused on democracy reform, election protection, D.C. Statehood, senate rules reform, H.R./S.1, voting rights, & more.  

She received her B.A. in Religion & Peace studies and an MPH from George Washington University. She also served as a Peace Corps Youth Development Volunteer in Thailand, working with communities to develop sustainable and robust afterschool programming for young people and caretakers.  

Ty lives in Santa Fe, NM, with her wife, dog, cat, and two chickens. On weekends, she finds new restaurants, reads Architectural Digest, and advocates for LGBTQ+ rights.
