MARGUERITE
JIMENEZ
Marguerite is a politics and civic engagement nerd and has spent the past 15+ years working in domestic and foreign policy at state and federal levels. Before moving home to Montana, she lived in Washington, DC where she served as a presidential appointee in the Obama Administration working on DEIB and paid leave as a White House Fellow and on commercial diplomacy as Senior Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. She has also taught public policy at American and Georgetown universities, staffed congressional delegations to Cuba, worked in public health and human rights advocacy, done political organizing, been involved in presidential campaigns, and struggled with work-life balance.
She has a healthy obsession with helping policymakers improve lives and currently works as Vice President for Lawmaker Engagement at The States Project - a national organization dedicated to building power and improving lives through state legislatures. After almost 20 years elsewhere, she is thrilled that she and her family get to call Missoula, MT home.
